What is Harbor?
Harbor is a bookkeeping tool built specifically for freelancers and solo business owners. It tracks income, categorizes expenses, and prepares tax-ready reports so you do not have to manage spreadsheets.
Is Harbor free to start?
Yes. Our Solo plan is completely free and includes income tracking, expense categorization, basic tax reports, and email support. You can use it as long as you like and upgrade whenever you need more features.
How does Harbor handle taxes?
Harbor automatically calculates your estimated quarterly taxes based on your income and expenses. It generates profit-and-loss statements, quarterly estimates, and year-end summaries that you can hand directly to your accountant or import into tax software.
Can I import my existing transactions?
Yes. You can connect your bank and payment accounts to import historical transactions automatically. We also support CSV uploads from most major banks and payment processors.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. We use bank-level 256-bit encryption for all data in transit and at rest. We never sell your data, and we are SOC 2 Type II compliant. You can export or delete your data at any time.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also support ACH bank transfers for annual plans.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. We prorate any unused time when you upgrade.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If Harbor is not the right fit for you, contact us within 30 days of your first charge for a full refund, no questions asked.
